Komatsu originated in Komatsu City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan. Founder Akitaro Takeuchi established Komatsu Iron Works in order to develop mining machinery for mining the copper mountains of Izumi Temple. We cannot let the community that relies on this copper mountain disappear after its closure. To achieve this, we must develop industry and promote the development of local industries.
